Community Bible Study
Welcome to the Community Bible Study (CBS) website for the Bettendorf, IA, class. It is a joy to be a part of this non-denominational ministry in the Quad Cities. As a testimony to God’s faithfulness in this community, this is CBS's 24rd year in the Quad Cities! We are excited to announce that for the 2024-2025 class year, we will be studying the book of:

In-person and online classes are available. All classes meet on Thursdays. MORNING classes start at 9:15 or 9:30 AM, depending on whether In-person or Online. EVENING classes begin at 6:30 PM and are a hybrid of In-person and Online. The registration fee is $35/adult and $10/child.
CBS desires that the study of God’s Word be available to all. The Bettendorf class members come from many faith backgrounds and includes groups for women, men, and children. If you are not currently in a Bible study, come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class member receives a course book with a commentary and study questions. Every week these will be small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship brunches provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

Matthew wrote by the power of the Holy Spirit, primarily to his fellow Jews, proving through Scripture that Jesus’s life and ministry fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah. In studying this Gospel, you can clearly hear Matthew’s message: Jesus is indeed the long-awaited Jewish Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Immanuel, God with us!
