Bettendorf IA

Welcome to the Community Bible Study (CBS) website for the Bettendorf, IA, class.  It is a joy to be a part of this non-denominational ministry in the Quad Cities.  As a testimony to God’s faithfulness in this community, this is CBS's 23rd year in the Quad Cities!  We are excited to announce that for the 2023-24 class year, we will be studying the books of:

Ruth, Samuel & Ephesians

Start date:  September 7, 2023

Asbury United Methodist Church

1809 Mississippi Blvd, Bettendorf, IA 52722

In-person and online classes are available.  All classes meet on Thursdays.  MORNING classes start at 9:15 or 9:30 AM, depending on whether In-person or Online.  EVENING classes begin at 6:30 PM and are a hybrid of In-person and Online.  The registration fee is $35/adult and $10/child.

CBS desires that the study of God’s Word be available to all.  The Bettendorf class members come from many faith backgrounds and includes groups for women, men, and children.  If you are not currently in a Bible study, come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible.  Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class member receives a course book with a commentary and study questions. Every week these will be small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship brunches provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

May you be abundantly blessed as you seek to know God more through the study of His Word.

In Christ’s love,

Sharla Fox-Jones, Teaching Director

ABOUT THE CLASS

This is a Co-Ed Class
THU at 9:15 AM - 11:15 AM

and

Thursday 6:30 PM - 8:15 PM

Currently Studying: Ruth and Samuel, Ephesians

The Old Testament books of Ruth and 1 and 2 Samuel describe the faith journeys of men and women like us. In this study, you will see people who took their pain and anger to God—and those who did not. And in either case, you will see how God remained faithful.

Ephesians tells the story of God’s eternal plan to unite people who had been estranged from Him and one another into a beautiful community that reflects His glory to the world and even to the spiritual realms.
